There are families who work and serve in our community but they can’t buy a home here.

They are stranded, with no options, between opposite ends of the housing market. This weakens their ties to the community and both suffer.

Ode builds housing and neighborhoods so people you know, who serve your community, can live next-door.

Because when people own a home in the place where they work it strengthens bonds and the community thrives.

Households of average income have been stranded by forces in the market.

The Low-Cost Options

The available stock of housing options on the low end is slowly growing. But average income households earn too much to qualify for programs. And the options available do not fit their families.

The Market

Most homes available for purchase fit families well, but prices of these homes have risen past the means of households with average income.

The Gap Between

Average income households are stranded between extremes with no options. Homes for purchase on the market are out of reach, and housing within their means doesn’t fit their families.

The situation is not hopeless. Concerned community members can intervene.

Empowered by allies and collaborators Ode has a plan to disrupt the market.

It starts with:

Allies

Our allies are the engine behind the plan. They are providing financing and professional services. Some are tradesmen applying their craft. Above all they are:

Focused on the families: They strive for the simplest, smoothest outcomes for home buyers.

Resourceful: They leverage resources for greater productivity and efficiency.

Collaborative: They trust experts and professionals and work together. They make decisions together based on merit.

Ode

Ode is a developer with a mission to build homes, price families into ownership, and strengthen the community. Ode was founded by an architect and a real estate professional, both with experience, both with deep roots in the community.

The Project

The project is to build 9-14 single-family homes for households that work and serve in the community. Homes that are priced for buyers with average incomes and designed to meet the needs of families.

When people own a home in the place where they work it strengthens bonds and the community thrives.
